ABOUT ME

I am an Italian freelance documentary maker based in Barcelona. I'm also a theatre actress and director. (see my theatre website and my theatre company website)
In 2015 I graduated in documentary filmmaking following the INto INdustry Program in Barcelona. Since then, I have been working as filmmaker, with a particular interest in social documentaries.
I co-directed and co-wrote, filmed and edited - with Otoxo Productions - four short documentaries for the series Anonymous Heroes in 2015, and a longer documentary "El peso de la manta" in 2016.
This latest work follows the struggles of illegal street vendors in Barcelona, who created a Trade Union for themselves in order to fight to have their rights respected and to improve their situation.
I have been working in theatre as an actress and director since 1990. In 2006 I received a BSc in Law, and in 2010 and 2011 I worked as Artistic Advisor for the preview of the Perugia International Film
Festival. See my CV website.
In 2012 I moved to Barcelona where I founded my own theatre company: AmagatTeatre.
I love languages, they are an essential skill to have in order to be able to communicate with people from around the world; I am fluent in Italian, French, English, Spanish and Catalan.
I love travelling, experiencing different cultures, hearing stories and re-telling them creatively,
and using the skills I have developed within theatre and with my camera.
